Remove Spaces Before a Table in Google Docs
Follow the steps below to clear spaces between tables on Google Docs.
1. Highlight the Area Between the Tables
Click and drag your mouse to highlight the space between the first and second tables. This helps identify the gap that needs removal.

2. Delete Extra Paragraphs to Close the Gap
Place your cursor in the space between the tables and press “Backspace” or “Delete” to remove the extra paragraphs until the tables are close together.

In our example, you can still see that there’s space between the two tables.

4. Set Line Spacing Between Tables to 0 pt
Highlight the space between the tables. Go to the toolbar and click the “Line & paragraph spacing” icon, then click “Remove space after paragraph.”

To further reduce the space, select “Custom spacing” still under the “Line & paragraph spacing.”

Set the “Line spacing” to “0.06” to remove any additional space. Ensure that the Before and After under the paragraph spacing are both set to 0. Once done, press “Apply.”

4. Verify the Tables Are Now Adjacent
Scroll through the document to check that the two tables are now adjacent with no extra space between them. Here you can see that the spaces between the tables are removed.
