Block Letters on Google Docs
Follow the steps below to create block letters in Google Docs.
1. Select a Bold Font Style and Increase Font Size
Choose a bold, thick font for your letters by clicking the font dropdown in the toolbar. For example, let’s choose “Impact.”

Set the font size to a large number like “72” for visibility.

2. Type Each Letter You Want as a Block Letter
Type out each letter you want to convert to a block style. Place each letter on its own line if you want individual blocks.

3. Highlight All Letters to Apply Formatting
Click and drag over your text to highlight it. This lets you adjust the formatting of all selected letters at once.

4. Change Text Color and Choose a Dark Color for a Block Effect
With the text highlighted, go to the “Text Color” icon in the toolbar. Select a color for your letters. Here, let’s just use the color “Black.”

5. Make Letters Bold to Create Emphasis
To thicken letters, click the “B” icon in the toolbar.

6. Align Letters for Final Positioning
Use the “Align and indent” button to center or position your letters as desired. In our example, we will select “Left align.” Make sure to check the alignment to make sure everything is balanced.

7. Save or Download the Document with Your Block Letters
When you’re satisfied, go to “File,” then click “Download” and select any format to save your block letters or keep the document in Google Drive.
